The Autism Reality Experience offers an innovative and immersive training opportunity for neurotypical individuals to step into the neurodiverse world. Through hands-on experiences, participants gain insight into the sensory processing challenges encountered by individuals on the autism spectrum. A unique opportunity to foster understanding, inclusivity and most importantly empathy.

In association with Aston Villa Football Club
The Stadium version of the Autism Reality Experience (ARE) has been developed in association with Aston Villa Football Club to reflect the real-life sensory and environmental challenges faced by autistic individuals attending live sporting events.
A football stadium can be an overwhelming environment. The noise of the crowd, bright lights, sudden reactions, announcements, queues, confined spaces, and unpredictable moments all contribute to a highly stimulating experience. For an autistic person, this can significantly impact their ability to enjoy the event safely and comfortably.
The ARE Stadium experience takes participants on a journey from arriving at the stadium, entering through turnstiles, navigating concourses, interacting with crowds, and taking their seat during a live match scenario. By understanding these challenges from an autistic perspective, organisations can implement meaningful adjustments to create a more inclusive and accessible matchday experience.
The Stadium version is ideally suited for:
- Matchday and stadium staff
- Stewards and security teams
- Hospitality and catering staff
- Retail and merchandise staff
- Club and event management teams
- Emergency and support services
- Any organisation involved in delivering stadium operations
